The LGBT Network
The LGBT Network is an association of non-profit organizations working to serve the LGBT community of Long Island and Queens throughout the lifespan: Long Island Gay and Lesbian Youth (LIGALY), The Long Island LGBT Community Center (The Center), Services and Advocacy for LGBT Elders – Long Island (SAGE-LI), and the Queens LGBT Community Center (Q Center).
Together, each organization works within The Network to end homophobia and transphobia, to provide a home and safe space for the LGBT community, and to advocate for equality.
LGBTQ Immigrants of Long Island
LGBT Immigrants of Long Island creates a safe space for LGBT immigrants and allies to express themselves and to engage in discussions about issues relevant to the myriad intersecting identities of this community in Nassau and Suffolk counties. We discuss topics such as online dating safety, sexual and mental health, and other implicated questions of access to health and legal services, particularly for undocumented LGBT immigrants.
We believe that a key part of our work is to foster community by not only building these safe spaces for discussions about issues that affect LGBT communities, but also by cultivating genuine friendships with one another and creating an environment where we can all express ourselves openly and respectfully.
PFLAG Long Island
PFLAG Long Island is a part of a national organization of parents, families, friends and allies united with the LGBTQ+ community to move equality forward. We provide an opportunity for dialogue about all topics including expression, identity, and sexuality, in a friendly, confidential, and supportive environment.
This site is intended to educate and celebrate the LGBTQ+ experience through positive representation of important and well known individuals. You will hear and read stories about our advocacy results, and see interesting perspectives on LGBTQ+ events and successes.
Pride for Youth (PFY)

Our mission is to enhance the health and wellness of the LGBTQ community through education, supportive services and personal development in Nassau, Suffolk and Queens Counties.
Project Safety Net NY
The mission of Project Safety Net NY is to promote health, safety and achievement for the diverse and underrepresented communities of Long Island. Our programs and services have a particular focus on substance abuse and mental health, LGBTQ+, communities of color, at-risk youth, and people living with chronic health conditions.
The TRCLI – Transgender Resource Center of Long Island
The Transgender Resource Center of Long Island (TRCLI) is a 501c3 charity established by members of the transgender, non-binary and gender non-conforming community, their families, partners, and allies. Our goal is to build a new community center that will be a safe space serving as a one-stop hub for the vital resources that our community desperately needs.
