The Dialogue

Theresa Grant, a Uniondale resident raised in Jamaica and Aruba, will showcase her artistic talents at the Library. This exhibit will feature her artwork combining calligraphy and batiking, an African art  form that creates unique shapes and patterns. Her artwork reflects cultural, social and political issues

Shadows of Nature II

Adrienne Hawthorne, a Uniondale resident forover thirty years, is also a children's librarian.Her love of self expression has led to a wide variety of artistic hobbies including jewelry design, music and photography. Her passion for photography has helped her to produce some wonderful photographic artwork. Many of the pieces selected for this exhibition feature landscapes, seascapes and floral photography that reflect her love of nature: its vivid beauty and color. paintings of spirits aSusan M. O'Hanlan, an amateur painter,was encouraged by her family at an early ageto pursue art. Getting inspiration from nature, she started painting landscapes.  Her special interest is working with children as well as with senior citizens to expand their horizons. This exhibit will feature acrylic and angels.
