Level 1: Computer Class for Adults

Learn basic computer skills, introduction to  the keyboard and using the mouse.

Computer 2nd Grade for Grownups

Learn to work with numbers including inputting,inserting, moving and erasing, along with an introduction to spreadsheets.

This hands-on class covers multitasking, working with graphics, using Windows drawing and painting tools,  copying, cutting and pasting commands.

Join us for a Citizenship preparation course. It focuses on language and civic skills needed to pass the U.S.Citizenship Exam as well as a free access to legal counseling. Any student interested should contact the

These fun-filled classes with fast and slow rhythms, tone and sculpt your body while burning fat with easy-to-follow moves.
Registration begins on Thursday, April 10

This one-hour educational session will offer easy-to-do exercises that you can practice at home to regain and improve your muscle strength. Please wear loose comfortable clothing, sneakers or sturdy shoes. Bring a water bottle. Presented by Susan Hannon, registered nurse
& community outreach educator from Winthrop.

Fees:  $20.00 for AARP Members
  $25.00 for Non-Members.
A separate check or money order is required for each participant, payable to AARP. AARP membership cards are to be presented at registration and to the Instructor on the day of the class.

La Salle Defensive Driving
Saturday, June 21
10:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Registration begins on Tuesday May 27
Fee: $35.00 - Cash, Check, or Money Order
payable to Uniondale Public Library. No Refunds.

GED (High School Equivalency Course)
Mondays and Wednesdays, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Registration dates: Monday, September 16 &23
(Testing begins promptly at 6:00 p.m.)
This GED class helps students to improve their reading,
writing & math skills. It prepares students to obtain their
GED diploma. Registering and evaluation takes approximately three hours. This includes, filling out an application, a writing sample and reading section of the test. 
(Reading and math assessment will determine enrollment
in the course.)

ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Registration dates: September 24 & 26
(Testing begins promptly at 10:00 a.m.)
Helps Non-English speakers to improve their English
with speaking, listening, reading and writing at all levels.
New Registration Fees:
$65 for GED and $55 for ESOL classes.
(Material fees & textbooks not included.)

Classes are held for Adults 21 years and older.
Money order ONLY payable to NASSAU BOCES.
All students must be officially enrolled after
meeting the class requirements. Payments will be
made after evaluation process is completed.
